Our Therapist

April Clark
MA
Therapist
"Dr. Gabor Mate’s work teaches that human beings are social creatures and are naturally ‘wired for connection.’ In his book, What Happened to You?, Dr. Bruce Perry writes, ‘The capacity to love is at the core of the success of humankind…isolated and disconnected, we are vulnerable.’ As a therapist, I believe that the core responsibility of my job is to help people feel seen and emotionally supported as they confront and overcome life challenges and letting go of dysfunctional learned patterns of behaviors. I have witnessed how profound and inspiring it can be for authentic, non-judgemental, compassionate human connection inspires people towards personal growth, being able to fully see themselves, and fully embrace their healing journey.” Through attending Pacifica Graduate Institute from (2008-2010) to obtain her Master of Arts in Counseling and Depth Psychology, April engaged in coursework relating to family systems, various psychological theoretical orientations, human development, ethics, psychopathology, and multi-cultural disciplines through the lens of the Fathers of Psychoanalysis and experts in Jungian and Depth Psychological therapy. This educational experience provided April a theoretical framework combining mindful operation in the world with a focus of living authentically. April’s clinical expertise is grounded in evidence-based and integrative modalities.
